Lemonade in Shangri-La

£540.00

egg tempera on panel, 30 x 27 cm, July 2026

The fields are bleached from the heat and sun. My zinnias, dahlias and heliotropes are even more dazzling than usual. A Cardinal dunks in the birdbath. They say that heralds rain. You really see colour in a thirsty parched garden, with a hosepipe ban. Chickens and pets wander into my studio for the shade of it and we make lemonade, eat strawberries. And think of Shangri-La.

For some Shangi-La would feature a doodle, perhaps named Baker – My Shangri-La would no doubt be pink!
