Peace Joy and Friendship

As I walk the aisles of the Needham Market Car boot sale, objects and their potential reveal themselves to me. Last Wednesday it was reds, or variations on red. A tin bedecked with roses, an opaline vase, a little red glass vase, a laughing Buddha. Ah yes, time to begin thinking about my Christmas card, better have those.
The way I work is visual and by colour but also with words and their association. Rarely with a title in my head as I begin, this time as I found the colours and considered my characters, the title, the words, ‘joy and health’ floated past me and I plucked them from my semi-consciousness.
