This could have been titled ‘Monkey Business’ with all the frolicking, but what with the louder-than-ever birdsong, the frenetic squirrels and the burst of colour from my bulbs, right now I am feverish with spring.
Thank you to the person who commissioned this piece, to the flowers that were brought as a thank you for a portrait prize I painted, and to that pistachio biscuit tin that is just about my favourite colour, adorned with that mischievous monkey!
Sorry to my sister Katy who is terrified of squirrels and for using a blue egg AGAIN because I find them so seductive.
