What do you do when the busy slows down?

We all know that feeling of over-promising and then the current of a very busy period. It seems summer is always like that for me. This year I only opened my studio for one weekend in June, but that was on the heels of a series of fabulous exhibitions and a sense that life was coming at me rapid fire, so it didn’t feel like a quieter June.

When I’m busy I pine for the studio, no matter how much fun I am having. Although I don’t find it difficult to begin again, I worry that I might when I am not working. I try not to do that, but I’m not an expert on letting things go, all the time!

So we returned from Dublin; I opened my studio; I cleaned up for visitors; I went to exhibitions and to see friends, and made a few trips to London, while dodging the sun and heat. Imade some work in the middle of all that. And then suddenly it was quiet.

This time, I went looking for a little eye candy, did a little garden maintenance but mostly set up arrangements and painted.  What do you do?
